Danny Williams Pastor

Pastor Danny Williams has been in the ministry for over 40 years. His primary responsibilities are preaching and teaching God’s word, praying for the church family, and providing overall directional leadership for Sonora Baptist Church. He began his ministry at Sonora in July of 1988.

He and his wife, Lisa, were married in 1979. They have two adult daughters: Rachelle (husband Jeremy) and Danielle (husband Ethan).

They have 8 grandchildren: Josh, Will, Anna Grace, Kathryn, Elijah, Lydia, Elliot, and Ethan Jack. The grandchildren call them ‘Opa’ and ‘Oma’.

Lisa is an elementary school teacher for the a local Christian school. She enjoys playing the piano, reading, cooking, sewing outfits for her grandchildren, and spending time with her family.

She carries her love for teaching to the church by serving in the nursery, preschool department, and women’s bible studies.

Brother Danny enjoys Razorback football, hunting, fishing, playing piano, vacationing on Pensacola Beach, and spending time with family.
